Five new Dehler models, the 29, 32, 35, 45 and 60 are set to make their UK debut during the summer of 2010 with the first yachts arrived in June at the Dehler UK waterfront office at Hamble Point Marina. The full range is in production at the Dehler Yachts factory near Dusseldorf, which has a pedigree history of superior build quality. Dehler enjoys an enviably strong position as part of the Hanse portfolio of prestige yacht brands which include Moody and Fjord. As Germany’s second largest production boat builder, Hanse is completely committed to underpinning the sales and support of this new generation of Dehler yachts. Dehler UK is headed by Andy Hind, who has over 30 years expertise of sales, support and winning races in the fast cruiser racer yacht sector. He plans to bring Dehler back into the forefront of the UK’s most popular performance yachts. The force behind the UK operation is Inspiration Marine which already market the Hanse brand in the UK. Please email us if you can help. Dehler rudders We are now becoming able to supply new rudders for many Dehler yachts at a very competitive price. We can also supply rudder bearings for later Dehlers in addition to those for earlier yachts 2008 Regatta A hardy group of Dehler sailors put up a good show at the Poole Regatta in May. Martin Pearson's Dehler 33 Ruthless was a class winner and Garry Willard on Giddy Gazelle and Brian Thompson and Ivor Graham on Deity dominated much of the Dehler activity. Chris Hughes and his crew on Riverdance from Plymouth also did very well. Jaap Metzlar and a very competent looking crew came over from the Netherlands and appeared to be potential winners but sadly had to leave us and return home after the first day - its to be hoped that they will be able to join us again next year. We were joined on Spirit of Peponi by Alice and Roberto from Milan. They are able sailors and we hope that they can join us again in the future. They had good tales of sailing their Dehler 34 in the warmer climes of the Ligurian Sea.
